Jenni Keil 2007 Duathlon Age Group World LC Champion. Age Group SC National Champion.

Jeff Keil 2007 Ironman World Championships: 9:14. 59th place and 11th US Overall.

My name is Jeff Keil and I have been running since I was 8 years old. Fast forward 28 years. At 36 years old, I have found my passion in triathlons. I am joined in my passion by my wife, Jenni. We both try to balance a profession career in graphic design and teaching, while at the same time pushing ourselves to the highest level of athletics.

Over the past 6 years, I have consistently been of the top amateurs in Colorado and in the United States. My focus has been on half ironman and ironman distance races (2.4 miles swim, 112 mile bike followed by a 26.2 mile run). I have competed at the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii three times. Last year, I finished 58th overall, 11th American, and set a new personal best of 9.13.

My name is Jenni Keil. As with my husband Jeff, I have found a passion in athletics. It started when I moved to Colorado from Ohio and met Jeff. he encouraged me to try my hand at duathlons (run-bike-run). I had run in college and found this to be a natural solution to just plain running. With the help of Tim Lunchinske and Eric Schwartz, I accomplished my athletic goals in duathlon; I won the National and World Championship for my age groups in 2007.

In 2008, I turn my focus to triathlon. With the help of my husband and Coach Chuckie V, I will be working on becoming a top athlete at the half ironman distance with the goal of competing in Kona with Jeff in 2010.

Training is only one aspect of endurance sports. Everyone assumes that within triathlon there are three disciplines-swim, bike, and run. However, there are two more-recovery and nutrition. These two key aspects play a vital role in our training and ability to be strong for key workouts. With the help of Boulder Natural Meats and their products, we are able to easily prepare natural meat that is great tasting. This “fuel” enables us to take our training and racing to the next level.
